Background
The Beneficiary’s Friendship Forum (BFF) is a local, non-profit voluntary development organization. It was established by a young group of people in 1994. BFF got its registration from the Social Welfare Department in the year 1997; registration number is Farid-257/97. BFF got certificate from the Micro Credit Regulatory Authority in the year 2012, certificate number is- 01612-01383-00644. The aim of the organization is to improve socio-economic conditions, dignity and ensure social rights for poor, marginal and underprivileged especially women. BFF emerged having the strong principal and commitment to flourish and the use of diversified human potentials in the ongoing process of socio-economic development. All actions of BFF are dedicated for the services of humanity irrespective of cast, creed and religion. We firmly believe that effective development efforts cannot take place unless emphasizing on the protection of social justice and humanity is done. Lacking of these components, the civil society will become the victim of violence, terrorism. Our present society is a burning example of it. Real peace exists at the sacrifice of interest for betterment of mass. “All for one and one for all”- this nice verse is still on vogue in our society but not in real practice.
Humanity today in the real sense is degraded in a large scale in the winds of many isms like secularism, fatalism, individualism, optimism, etc. These exists only the sand of desert for mankind in the name of peace and harmony. Man created famine and ultimately that put them into death. Accumulation of illegal and unnecessary wealth turned humanism into the propensities of beasts. The stronger kills and exploits the weaker being irrational at the highest possible degree. We always want free, fair and enlightened society where justice and humanity will lead everybody to march forward to the post of peace and harmony.
BFF believes that sustainable socio-economic development depends on three fundamental matter and components. So that the main characteristics of BFF development activities are:
* To create sustainable development by develop human resources.
* Self managed ideal organization for inserting the production and cooperation
* To create enable socio-environment for development.
Objectives of BFF
To organize the target people into groups to develop their own institutional bases, increase their individual and collective strengths and capabilities.
To develop self confidence, dignity, creativity and consciousness among the target people so that they themselves can change their situation.
To improve the health conditions of the target people through ensuring required health services.
To educate the illiterate target people to give them a new taste of their lives.
To improve the quality of lives of the disabled people through ensuring required supports and services
To alleviate the acute poverty of the poor group members through providing them technical, training and credit supports for their economic activities.
To respond to the needs of distressed people caused by natural calamities
