HISTORY

SAPTAGRAM NARI SWANIRVAR PARISHAD (SNSP) was established in  1976 by late Professor Rokeya Rahman Kabeer an Educationalist. She was the founder Executive Director. We lost our beloved founder Executive Director, who died on July 28’ 2000. Amidst irreplaceable loss and great sadness, side by side all efforts were also continued by the hard work of the team members for the sustenance and growth of the organization.

 ORIGIN

SAPTAGRAM NARI SWANIRVAR PARISHAD (SNSP) translated as Saptagram women’s self reliance movement is a Bangladeshi non profit making development organization. It was established in 1976 by late Professor Rokeya Rahman Kabeer an Educationalist. It is the only rural based NGO where every stage of administration, policy making decision and implementation in the fields is in the hands of women. The organization is for the women, of the women by the women.
